Psychosocial
Recovery Coaching
and Counselling
If you have disabilities arising from mental health conditions, our psychosocial support coaches, mental health clinicians and psychologists can assist you to live a full and contributing life.
Our psychosocial recovery coaches have formal qualifications in mental health and understand the challenges that come with mental illness. If you have a psychosocial disability, we will bring our knowledge and lived experience to help you take control of your life and navigate both the NDIS and the mental health system.
If you have Therapeutic Supports in your NDIS plan, we can offer counselling by one of our counsellors or psychologists. We also offer Telehealth services.
Psychosocial Recovery Coaching
Psychosocial recovery coaches have a formal qualification in mental health or psychology and an understanding of how your mental health may be impacting on the achievement of your goals. Our psychosocial recovery coaches are able to connect you with the necessary services to ensure you have a supported, focused recovery journey. We’ll work with you and your support team to create a clear plan of action to achieve your goals. We’ll encourage and support you along the way so you have the best chance of success in living the life you want to.
Your psychosocial recovery coaching journey:
- Once we receive your referral, you’ll meet with us in person to get to know each other.
- We assess which supports will be beneficial for you, and develop an action plan
- Together we go through the plan and make any necessary changes. We then implement the plan, checking in regularly to ensure it’s working for you.
- You meet with us 3 months later to see how everything is going, and again in 6 months to discuss your progress.
- We help you prepare your NDIS plan review which will include your accomplishments and any additional supports required.
Counselling
If you have Therapeutic Supports in your NDIS plan we can offer counselling by one of our counsellors or psychologists. We offer both in-person and Telehealth services.
It’s common to have moments when you feel alone, panicked, sorrowful or unable to cope. Overwhelming emotions can surface for many reasons, or for no reason at all. And we’re here to help you through those moments, with tools that ensure you’re confident enough to eventually face them on your own in positive and productive ways.
Counselling can help you understand challenges around relationship dynamics, plus help families deal with shared issues and generational trauma to create better connections with each other and the community.
